Chilton County weighs surplus, equipment transfers and buying a striping truck to speed road markings

Transit staff separately requested several personnel reclassifications and hires: reclassify Jacob Davenport to transit coordinator, reclassify Vanessa Stone to dispatcher, convert Lance Nelson to full-time operator, and hire Vincent Bruce Stern and Faith Bale as full-time operators. Those personnel actions will be presented as resolutions for formal approval.
Next steps: staff will place surplus and transfer resolutions on the next meeting agenda, provide quotes and budget figures for a striping truck option and return with cost comparisons between thermoplastic contracting and county-owned equipment.
