The Oliver County Weed Board approved routine business and moved to update administrative records during its meeting. Members voted to accept the treasurer’s report as presented and instructed county staff to place an advertisement seeking one additional weed-board member, with applications to be forwarded to the county commission for approval.
Board members also spent substantial time reviewing the county mailing list used to notify landowners about cost-share programs and chemical distributions. Members noted multiple outdated entries—addresses for deceased landowners, moved parcels and other inaccuracies—and agreed to scrub the list and re-send any missing mailings.
Chair (acting) moved the ad motion and it was seconded; the board agreed that Alice (county staff) would post the opening. On the mailing list, members volunteered to cross-check entries and remove or update stale addresses before the next distribution.
The board adjourned after completing the administrative items and scheduling follow-up work to update the list and re-notice the Northern Plains Connector weed plan after requested revisions are returned to the board.
