Trustee Council reported unofficial results showing the referendum received 79.27% approval with all precincts reporting. He said once results are certified by Cook County the village will begin issuing bonds and advancing the road improvement program; design and engineering for the first group of streets are expected to start soon with construction anticipated in late summer or early fall.
Council encouraged residents to visit the village website or contact village hall with questions and noted staff will provide more details as project schedules and scope are finalized. He also highlighted related public outreach items including a Community Volunteer Day on May 16 and a village promotion tied to ZIP code 60526 on June 5.
