Mayor Hank Guest opened a public hearing and allowed up to 15 minutes for speakers on each side; no one spoke in favor or opposition. After the public hearing closed, a council member moved to approve the annexation and the motion carried unanimously by voice vote.
The annexation brings the parcels into the city’s boundary adjacent to Southside Heights Park and the Southside Heights neighborhood. No amendment or conditions were recorded on the motion; the council’s action was recorded as a unanimous voice vote and no further debate was transcribed.
