Gloria Gonzalez Duckia moved to name the facility and Shade Fashikun seconded the motion; the board recorded seven "ayes" and the motion passed. The approved name is "Ada May Fabian School for Early Childhood." The administration said the change is intended to preserve the Fabian legacy within the district as the original Fabian Elementary building is repurposed.
The board did not amend the motion and no opposing votes were recorded. Implementation steps and signage were discussed as administrative matters to follow.
