Planner Lauren McDonald said scammers are contacting applicants using published agenda contact information and requesting money, that names such as "Whitney" and "Wendy" have been used by fraudsters, and urged anyone contacted to stop, report the request to city staff and police, and rely on staff for secure payment instructions.
