At the Feb. 12 meeting the Muskegon City Planning Commission conducted its annual officer elections and recommendations. Staff said Leah currently serves as chair and Destiny as vice chair and asked whether they wished to continue.
Commissioners moved and seconded to reappoint Leah Wlette Loy as chair and Destiny Kenir as vice chair; the motion passed on a roll‑call vote. The planning commission also recommended, by motion and roll call, that Steve Galin serve as the planning commission's representative on the Zoning Board of Appeals; the recommendation will be forwarded to the appropriate committee and then the city commission for a formal appointment.
These items were procedural recommendations; the city commission makes the formal appointments for ZBA representation.
