With the pool contract approved, the Town of Sellersburg Parks Board on March 10 restored 2024 season-pass prices and adjusted party fees for the 2026 swim season. The vote followed discussion about how an extended season (open through Labor Day) and vendor billing for lifeguards should affect pricing.
The board agreed to return single season-pass rates to $60 (resident), $65 (in-town variant) and $90 (out-of-state), and family passes to $220/$240/$350 reflecting the longer pool hours associated with a Labor Day-closing season. Party pricing was increased to cover vendor lifeguard overtime: one-and-a-half-hour parties were set at $350/$375/$450 and three-hour parties at $650/$700/$800 depending on residency; shelter/semi-private rentals remain at $65/$75/$85.
Board members discussed the increased vendor lifeguard pay structure (time-and-a-half for overtime) and the unclear per-party billed lifeguard totals. The board settled on modest increases—board members repeatedly said $50 per party felt reasonable to cover higher labor costs without discouraging bookings.
The board also approved a $40 season pass for CCAT (the local swim team) covering Memorial Day through Labor Day to help the team with recruiting; the motion passed 4–0. Swim-lesson pricing was deferred for later discussion until staff and the vendor can confirm safety and staffing policies for one-on-one lessons and whether additional lifeguard coverage will be billed separately.
The board asked staff to post rates and update online registration once the vendor finalizes billing details and lessons are clarified.
