The Whitestown Plan Commission unanimously recommended that Town Council approve PC26‑002‑TA, a text amendment to the 2016 Spalding Commons PUD that would remove the separate architectural review committee and return architectural review responsibilities to planning staff and the plan commission process.
Brian Kelly (with Ryan Holmes) and staff told commissioners that the committee structure was a holdover from earlier stages of community growth and now duplicates staff and commission roles. Staff recommended a favorable recommendation, and no members of the public signed up to speak. The commission closed the public hearing and voted 7–0 to forward the amendment to council.
The item now goes to Town Council with staff’s recommended edits and the redlined language included in the meeting packet.
