The manager said a new full‑time librarian/hire will be onboarded and complete regional training before assuming duties; final shelving, furniture and hours will be set with staff consultation.
Infrastructure studies: Public works is finalizing two reports: an updated water and sewer capacity study (with LKC Engineering) and a stormwater assessment to identify feasible mitigation projects and prioritize where investment would relieve pressure on the most homes and businesses. Staff said they plan to present the water/sewer report by December or at a January work session and expect a stormwater kick‑off by year‑end or early next year.
Recreation and facilities: The new pickleball courts are paved and awaiting initial coating and striping; staff proposed an interim single green coat so courts can be used in daylight and to finish the two‑tone color in spring. The board also discussed lighting options and approved a pendant light selection for the council chamber.
