Property sales and purchases: The commission approved agreements with Reyes Dream Casas for three single-family parcels (7536/38 Columbia Avenue for $7,500; 1031/33 Cleveland Street for $12,500; 1020/22 Ames for $15,000) and accepted for staff review proposals for 842 Michigan Street and 836 Michigan Street (Nextdoor Capital Management: $6,900 each) and 5639 Soul Avenue (Keystone Communities: $1,100). Motions were made and seconded as noted in the record; all passed 5–0.
Procurement and contracts: The commission approved CSK Architects PC for renovations at 219 Russell Street and accepted three RFQ responses for lawn care (Cruz Lawn Care, Myers, and RBI Maintenance) for staff review and referral. RFQ pricing bands were read into the record and the submissions were referred to staff for evaluation.
Claims register: The commission approved the register of claims covering Feb. 11, 2026 through March 12, 2026 (claims R68343–R68465). Motion by Commissioner Tolman; second by Commissioner Mosley-Shelton. Roll call: 5–0.
Why it matters: These approvals move forward property transfers, procurement reviews and program codifications that support city rehabilitation and infill housing goals, downtown business retention and routine municipal operations.
