The Peabody City Council approved two Finance Committee‑recommended transfers and confirmed multiple appointments.
Finance Committee members reported two motions: a transfer of $41,195 from the police-detail administrative fee account to the Capital Police Vehicles Fund, and a transfer of $17,200 from the CPC Historic Preservation Fund to a plaque and stone restoration account. Both transfers passed committee and were approved by the full council on roll-call votes recorded in the transcript as unanimous among voting members present.
The council also approved a set of mayoral appointments to boards and commissions, including members to the Cemetery Commission, Commission on Disability, Community Preservation Commission, Historical Commission, Recreation, Planning Board, Rent Control Board and the Zoning Board of Appeals. Those appointments were approved by roll-call vote.
Councilors said additional budget and financial details on other items (including an update regarding the Northshore Children’s Museum) would be discussed during upcoming budget hearings in May and June.
