At its meeting the Pulaski County Council approved several routine items: reappointment of Nancy Widner to the Monterey Tippy Canoe Public Library board, approval of incumbrances carried from 2025, and a $220 transfer for CDC internet services. Members also approved minutes from the regular session and earlier budget-session meeting.
The council revisited and signed a consolidated set of matrix rules that had been assembled in December 2024 but not formally signed after an auditor change. Members voted to sign the 2024 matrix rules by voice vote.
Council announced department liaison assignments for the coming year (AJ: sheriff, clerk, recorder, aviation; Jeff: EMS, surveyor, probation; Ken: highway, maintenance, extension, assessor; Brad: circuit and superior courts, soil and water; Mike: CDC, building department, veterans; Tim: health, coroner, auditor, commissioners; Sheila: treasurer, recycling, prosecutor, EMA). Staff was asked to tentatively schedule budget meetings for Aug. 18–19 with a 9 a.m. start time.
Next steps: staff to implement appointments and transfers, and to publish the August budget meeting dates on the county calendar.
