Planning Commission elects Zimmer chair and Ike vice chair; appointments pending council approval

At the May 7 meeting, Commissioner Kuza nominated Christine Zimmer for chair and Scott Ike for vice chair. After no further nominations, the commission closed nominations and voted unanimously to elect the slate.
Chair Christine Zimmer noted the positions are subject to City Council approval. As she accepted the nomination, Zimmer said, "I'm going to be on my best behavior." The commission adjourned after staff reminders about the May 18 Council agenda and the next Planning Commission meeting on May 21.
The chair and vice‑chair appointments will be forwarded to City Council for formal confirmation.
