The Leverne Planning Commission approved two subdivision plats Feb. 24: the preliminary plat for the Villages at Woodland Hills (85 lots on about 48 acres) and the final plat for Arbor Ridge Section 4 (47 lots on 9.1 acres).
Staff described the Woodland Hills layout as phased construction adjacent to I‑24 with new streets (continuing Highland Hills Drive and constructing Chris Farmer Drive), sidewalks on both sides, and primarily forested land to be developed. Applicant John Miner (SEC, Inc.) identified an existing pond in a cul‑de‑sac that will be dewatered, demucked and filled as part of the work.
For Arbor Ridge Section 4, staff presented Large Poppy Drive, a Daffodil Drive stubout for future connections, and a common area adjacent to a creek. A commissioner asked about bid dollar amounts associated with the final plat’s improvements; Gary (staff) confirmed that bids were signed and calculations reviewed and acceptable. Both plats were approved by voice vote.
