School district announces Alliance Orthopedics as naming-rights sponsor for bubble

A staff member said the contract includes a larger first-year payment to cover signage costs followed by four additional years of payments outlined in the revenue schedule.
The staff member said the sponsorship revenue to date brings the district to a total of $850,65 year to date (as stated at the meeting). Committee members asked about the New Jersey Imaging Network entry listed on the purchasing paper; the staff member clarified that is one sign in the arena and that some sponsorships can include arena banners and bus signage depending on the specific agreement.
The sponsorship and other rental agreements were presented as part of the purchasing agenda scheduled for the March 18 board meeting. The committee did not take a vote during the committee session; the item will return to the full board for formal action on March 18.
District officials said they will provide a folder with the sponsorship package and details on what each agreement includes if board members want specifics before the full-board vote. The budget and finance committee concluded without further action and the full purchasing agenda will appear on the March 18 board meeting docket.
