Board says state denied preschool expansion aid; district will keep 540 slots via local/private agreements

The board did not identify the precise revenue sources used to backfill the state aid denial during the public discussion; officials said contracts and letters of intent with private partners have been prepared and that the finance report approved that evening included the action needed to maintain the slots.
