San Marcos proclaims Veterans Month; Captain William Hustler to serve as parade marshal

Lisa Morris, recreation programs manager, gave parade logistics: road closures begin at 7:30 a.m.; pre‑parade entertainment begins at 9 a.m.; the parade starts at 10:00 a.m.; and the route will begin at CM Allen and Hopkins Street, proceed around the square, and close Hopkins Street through downtown. She said the city expected more than 70 parade entries.
Captain Hustler made brief remarks, emphasizing the focus on veterans’ service and the community’s tribute. Officials did not announce additional street‑use permits or new budget allocations at the meeting.
