Commissioners amended the draft with primarily housekeeping changes — updating the commission’s name and the city code citation — and added a transmittal list that will send the adopted resolution to local and regional bodies, including the Bloomington/Monroe County Human Rights Commission, Indiana University Board of Trustees and president, Monroe County sheriff, Indiana University Parking Operations, and members of the Monroe County Commission and Monroe County Council. The package passed by unanimous roll‑call vote, 11–0.
Members debated materials included in the meeting packet, noting an addendum containing a mass email from Flock Safety’s CEO that several commissioners described as tone‑deaf; the members discussed the packet material as public record but did not insert language directly quoting that message into the adopted resolution. The commission also acknowledged that city council had passed its own related resolution and adjusted language accordingly.
The commission asked staff to circulate the final amended text and confirmed that the addendum materials will be retained as part of the meeting packet. Staff said the transmittal will be sent to the list approved by amendment.
