A motion to approve the Eisenhower bid package passed on a roll-call vote with all members present voting yes.
The board then considered Kennedy Elementary’s renovation and a five-classroom addition. The Kennedy scope included restroom upgrades to meet ADA standards, a new teacher restroom and multi-user restroom in the addition, additional windows for administrative visibility, ADA stage access, and 25 new parking spaces; the renovation was estimated to finish by August 2026 and the addition by August 2027. The district reported about 100 sealed bids for Kennedy across multiple trade packages.
Board members approved the Kennedy bid package by unanimous roll-call vote.
District staff answered questions about finishes, phasing and pedestrian drop-off impacts; presenters said construction will be phased to start after student dismissal and, for Eisenhower, to be completed before students return in the fall. The motions were recorded and the successful vote tallies were entered into the minutes.
The approvals authorize staff to move forward with contracting with the listed low bidders and with scheduling construction under the timelines presented.
