Beyond debate on S.325, the House took action on a series of bills on May 6.
H.953 (charter amendment for the town of Panton) was advanced after a second reading; members reviewed the proposal describing recall procedures and ordered third reading. The House concurred with Senate amendments on H.46 (rare disease advisory council), H.582 (adult protective services), and H.778 (dam safety); H.778 was concurred with one small further amendment (a one-word clarifying change).
On H.949, which includes changes to homestead and non-homestead property tax rates and other education finance technical changes, the House Ways and Means Committee recommended refusing to concur in the Senate proposal of amendment. The House voted to request a committee of conference and the chair appointed three members to the House side of the conference committee.
Finally, the chamber adopted an adjournment motion and stood adjourned until May 7, 2026 at 1 p.m.
