City says turbine delivery is complete but project is behind schedule, commercial operation expected in January

Public works staff updated the council on a turbine installation project, saying the unit was delivered Sept. 18 and set on its foundation but that the work is running behind the original schedule.
The city described ongoing component installation and foundation work and said staff are identifying ways to accelerate the schedule. "We are a little bit behind schedule on it, but we're looking at ways to improve the schedule to be up and running by the early January next year is the plan for commercially available," the presenter said.
Staff did not report any changes to project scope or funding during the update. Council members were shown photos from delivery and installation work; staff noted continued coordination with contractors and that the project remains on track for startup in the winter window if contractors can accelerate remaining tasks.
The update did not include a new completion guarantee or final cost figures; staff said they would continue to report progress at future meetings.
