Separately, the board and superintendent recognized solicitor Mr. Subers, who is retiring at the end of the month after roughly 30 years serving the district. Mr. Subers briefly addressed the board and said he appreciated the opportunity to serve.
"I don't have a report, but I do want to express my appreciation for the opportunity to have served as solicitor for the district for the past 30 years," Mr. Subers said, reflecting on his tenure and his connection to the community. The board thanked him publicly and welcomed his successor for an introductory meeting.
