City staff member Sean explained the Sparta Street parcels are in the C2 commercial zone and recommended approval of both Sparta Street requests with two conditions: that any area used to store or display vehicles be paved, and that trees or fencing be installed where the commercial sites butt up against adjacent R2 residential zoning to provide a buffer. “Part of that is that they would have to pave those areas where the car is going to be stored,” Sean said.
