Tracy Joint Unified trustees approve multiple policies, solicitations and a Williams Middle School modernization proposal

Trustees of the Tracy Joint Unified School District on April 14 approved a series of consent and action items covering policy updates, procurement authorizations and personnel matters.
The board approved the consent agenda (items 3.1.1 through 13.3.0.2) by voice vote. On action items, the board: authorized solicitation of bids for document scanning services; authorized solicitation of bids for transportation services; and accepted a proposal from Pro K12 Consulting and Centimeters Services to modernize Williams Middle School. Most motions were moved and seconded by trustees and carried by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
Several board policies were considered on first reading. Trustees moved forward with a first reading of a new personal property policy (BP 4356) and a revised policy and administrative regulation on student activity funds (AR 3452). The board also acknowledged revised administrative regulations related to Williams uniform complaint procedures (AR 1312.4 and accompanying exhibits) and a first reading of an updated board bylaw on conflict of interest (BYLAW 9270).
On personnel and classification matters the board approved a new job description for a CTE coordinator, a new job description for a special education student information systems technician, and tentative agreements with the California School Employees Association covering reclassifications and several job descriptions. Trustees also received the district’s initial bargaining proposal to CSEA.
Motions were typically moved by Trustee (speaker 3) or Trustee (speaker 15) and seconded by other trustees; where the transcript recorded vote tallies for closed-session report-outs earlier in the meeting, those items were reported as approved 7–0. No formal roll-call vote totals were recorded in the public portion for many action items; they were adopted by voice vote as noted in the meeting record.
The board’s formal actions included both first readings (policy-level items that will return for later adoption) and administrative authorizations that direct staff to pursue contracts or solicitations.
