The West Bend City Business Improvement District board reappointed Peggy as president for a one-year term at its May 5 meeting and unanimously approved Christie as secretary.
John, a staff member who led the election procedure, described the board’s officer-selection process and opened nominations. Peggy told the board she would be “very comfortable serving one more year to finish up projects,” and a member moved to appoint her. The motion passed by voice vote.
Larry nominated Christie for secretary; after a second the board voted unanimously to appoint her. The board debated the vice president slot — incumbent Rebecca was not present — and moved to table that vote until the June meeting so members could confirm whether she wished to continue.
Members also approved other procedural motions by voice vote during the meeting. The board accepted the financial report after staff explained several line-item clarifications (see separate story). The meeting included staff briefings and committee updates that followed routine board procedure.
Next steps: The vice president election will be revisited at the June meeting; staff will circulate any candidate information in advance.
