The Falmouth Conservation Commission voted on May 6 to issue orders of conditions for several property projects after staff summaries and brief commissioner review.
Staff summarized the proposal for Beth M. Patrick (10 Dear Run Lane): remove an existing ground-floor deck, construct a larger deck and a three-season room, relocate a shed into the driveway, and revegetate with additional mitigation plantings. Commissioners moved and voted by roll call to issue an order of conditions reflecting those elements.
For a seawall project listed under the name Mary Alice Carol, staff noted Department of Marine Fisheries (DMF) timing restrictions and recommended silk-boom measures where required. The northern portion of the proposed seawall was removed from the plan to reduce risk to adjacent structures; commissioners voted to issue an order of conditions implementing the adjusted scope and timing requirements.
In an after-the-fact matter for Selen Michael Ort (Deep Pond Road), staff described a deck extension performed without prior approval and proposed relocating mitigation plantings to the pond edge. The commission discussed kayak storage observed at the site and agreed to a condition allowing a kayak rack in an upland location; the motion to issue an order of conditions passed by roll call.
All actions were carried by roll-call votes at the meeting and will be reflected in the official orders issued by staff and entered into the commission’s records.
