Martin County aquatic center highlights national meets, Special Olympics and year‑round competitive programming

Fab said the park is home to two USA swimming teams, a USA water polo team, USA diving and an artistic (synchronized) swimming team called Garden Syncro. She noted Garden Syncro hosted a recent zone championship, drawing about 400 athletes and 75 coaches, and called the event a boost to local tourism. "That side is attracting great families from all over," Fab said.
Fab also announced plans to host another synchronized swimming meet and a Special Olympics competition this year. The park runs nine scuba programs and supports year‑round competition scheduling on the 50‑meter side, she added.
The manager framed these events as community and economic draws: large meets bring visiting athletes and coaches who use local lodging and services, while the competition side also supports year‑round training and youth employment at the facility.
