"I'm so grateful to be here again," Dayton said, noting her local ties and experience on the bench.
Councilman Graves and Councilman Sanchez both expressed support, with Graves saying Dayton appeared well qualified based on her application and experience. Councilman Sanchez thanked Dayton for her willingness to continue serving.
Councilman Graves moved to approve the reappointment; Councilman Sanchez seconded. The committee voted in favor and the nomination will appear before the full City Council for a final vote.
The committee cited the mayoral communication and municipal charter and ordinances accompanying the nomination in its record; the committee did not identify any objections during the meeting.
