Miller said the project is included in the town’s capital improvement plan and that staff will request support from the tourism board and provide local funding as the required local match. She noted the project design was scheduled in the CIP for FY 2027 and construction for FY 2028, aligning the grant timeline with the town’s program schedule. Miller acknowledged Joe Costello prepared the initial grant materials and that staff would refine the application before submission.
No members of the public spoke on the item during the hearing. A commissioner moved and the board approved submitting the grant application by voice vote.
Next steps: staff will finalize the application materials, request tourism-board participation for local match, and submit the grant before the deadline.
