Commission approves proposed bid openings and awards multiple April call orders

The Transportation Commission approved the Department's proposed bid openings schedule for June through August 2026 and approved awards for multiple call orders from April bid openings.
Ms. Bryant presented Item 63, which outlined the final June 2026 and tentative July and August 2026 bid openings; the Department recommended approval and commissioners voted to adopt the schedule. "Item 63, proposed bid openings, consist of the final June 2026, the tentative July 2026, and the tentative August 2026 bid openings," Ms. Bryant said.
Mr. Ngoka presented Item 64, recommended awards from the April 9 and April 16, 2026 regular bid openings. The Department recommended awarding a list of call orders by call order number (April 9 awards include 505, 508, 510, 515, 525, 533, 535, 541, 545, 548, 550, 555, 560, 563, 565, 570, and 575; April 9 rejections: 530, 531, 532, and 580). April 16 awards recommended included 600, 605, 610, 615, 618, 620, 625, 630, 635, 640, 646, 651, 653, 655, 670, 673, 676, 682, and 685. Commissioners moved and seconded approval and the motions passed.
The awards and schedule approvals will allow selected contractors to proceed with procurement and contracting steps associated with the awarded call orders. The commission then moved on to remaining agenda items and adjourned.
