City of Muscogee council and committee members on April 13 approved a long list of routine procurement awards and administrative actions and took several final actions after an executive session.
During committee hearings the council approved recurring maintenance and service contracts for elevators, HVAC, electrical and plumbing services, generator maintenance, pest control, road and concrete materials, and multiple public‑works mowing and drainage contracts. Staff presented bids and recommended the lowest responsive or best value vendors in each case; roll calls recorded approvals for the listed items.
In the council’s special session, members approved several executive‑session outcomes. The council authorized staff to pursue the dissolution process for the Muscogee Tourism Authority and provided direction to staff on next steps. The council approved a resolution authorizing an opioid‑litigation settlement (identified in executive session as resolution 384) and authorized execution of settlement documents. Members also approved the city manager’s employment contract as discussed in executive session, accepted a separation agreement for city attorney Katrina Boddenhammer, and approved an amended employment contract for city clerk Tammy L. Tracy.
The council also approved acceptance of the CDC‑foundation swim‑lesson grant and routine capital items including the parks truck purchase. The board of adjustment appointment of Russell Sain to a three‑year term beginning April 1, 2026 was confirmed.
