County adopts Safety Action Plan to target high-crash corridors and seek grants

Commissioners asked for data on specific crosswalk timing and implementation metrics; staff promised follow-up. Commissioner Joel Flores moved to approve the plan; Vice Mayor Marci Woodward seconded and the Board adopted the Safety Action Plan by a unanimous 7–0 vote. Staff said the next step is a grant submission for short-term projects and a timeline to bring recommended operational analyses back to the Board.
