The Suamico Village Board voted unanimously April 6 to implement a state‑authorized increase in municipal court costs, raising court fees from $38 to $48 per citation.
Clerk Bartletti read a memo summarizing Wisconsin Act (referenced in the memo as 2025 Act 1113) that permits the increase; under the change the village keeps $43 of the $48 collected and $5 is remitted to the state. Using last year’s figures, the clerk estimated the increase would yield approximately $8,400 in additional municipal court revenue.
Board discussion noted municipal court expenses run higher than court revenue and that the increase is limited by state statute. Trustees voted on a roll call to adopt the increase and directed staff to update the Badger Track system and court software so officers and the court reflect the new fee.
The motion to approve the fee change passed on a 6–0 roll call.
