The Bolingbrook Village Board on Jan. 28 approved Resolution R‑3 to install a new illuminated monument sign at Clow International Airport.
Board members were told the sign fabrication, delivery and installation would cost roughly $44,600, plus a $5,000 contingency. Grants obtained for the project reduce the village’s share to about $34,636, a staff presentation said. The Public Services Committee reviewed and recommended the proposal before it reached the full board.
Trustees moved and seconded the resolution and approved it by roll call; all trustees recorded votes in favor. The applicant, Aurora Sign Company, was identified in the resolution. Trustees noted the sign will provide an identity marker for the airport, nearby businesses and the local aviation museum.
The board did not set a separate construction start date during the meeting; follow-up on timing and contingency spending was not specified.
