Siegel moved the motion and Commissioner Edward Pustka seconded. "I will make a motion to approve the real estate purchase including purchase price of real property at 400 N. Texana St. in Hallettsville, Texas, aka Property ID 3836 per Lavaca Central Appraisal District for the price of $295,000," Judge Mudd said. The court voted unanimously to approve the purchase and additionally approved completing the transaction through a title company.
The court then approved a budget amendment to make the purchase. Commissioner Wayne Faircloth moved, and Commissioner Edward Pustka seconded, a motion to designate Fund 194 (Capital Improvement of County Building) as the funding source and to move $295,000 from line item 194-5510-6009 to 194-5510-6008. "I would like to make a motion to approve appropriate budget amendment(s) to make real estate purchase at 400 N. Texana which would designate Fund 194, the Capital Improvement of County Building as the fund from which we will purchase the property," Judge Mudd said. The motion carried unanimously.
