The Hawaiian Gardens City Public Housing Authority convened its April 22, 2026 meeting at 5:49 p.m. and, after confirming a quorum, approved the meeting agenda and the consent calendar by unanimous roll call votes before adjourning at 5:51 p.m.
City Clerk explained how members of the public could participate — in writing, by e-comment through the city's website, via Zoom or in person at the council chamber — and said, “Public comment is now open and there are no members of the public on Zoom.” With no public speakers joining, the chair closed the public comment period.
A board member moved to approve the agenda and another seconded; roll call votes recorded Directors Hernandez, Jones, Depala, Farfin, Vargas and Chair Member Del Rio as voting yes and the motion carried. The board then took a separate motion to approve the consent calendar in its entirety; that motion also passed on a unanimous roll call.
The chair asked for any oral staff or member reports; none were offered. The meeting was adjourned at 5:51 p.m. Chair Member Del Rio announced the next public housing authority meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 5:45 p.m.
The actions taken were procedural approvals only; no policy debates, presentations, or formal hearings occurred during this meeting.
