Vallejo board approves expulsions, personnel actions, MOUs with CSU campuses and two resolutions recognizing veterans and CC & Amber Sabathia Day

The Vallejo City Unified School District governing board convened Nov. 5 and approved multiple formal actions reported from closed session and on the open agenda.
From closed session the board announced it approved a student expulsion (case ID F2025‑STP03) and a public‑employee discipline/dismissal item referenced under Government Code 50957. Both items were moved, seconded and approved on roll‑call votes recorded as four yes, one absent.
On the open agenda the board adopted its meeting agenda and approved several items by roll call, each passing with four yes votes and one absence: policy and administrative regulation updates (action 10A); an update to bylaw 9250 (action 10B) aligning district reimbursement/benefit language with recently referenced legislative changes; memoranda of understanding guaranteeing admission and cooperative outreach with Cal State Sonoma (action 10C) and Cal State East Bay (action 10D); and a certificated sabbatical request for an identified employee (action 10E). The board also opened and closed a public hearing to present CSEA’s initial reopener proposals for 2025–26 (wages, benefits and transfer/reassignment language); no action was taken.
