Board approves indoor cannabis microbusiness interim use permit with conditions

The Morrison County Board of Commissioners approved an interim use permit allowing Doden Investments to operate an indoor cannabis microbusiness for cultivation and manufacturing.
Amy McKinley summarized the Planning Commission recommendation and two conditions: the CUP should terminate if the associated state microbusiness license is no longer associated with the facility, and the facility must be fenced when operational. Commissioners noted the project is outside Little Falls city limits and that the county cap applies only to retail operations, not to manufacturing or cultivation.
Commissioner Lamir asked about odor control; staff said the Office of Cannabis Management standards and the county nuisance ordinance provide remedies if odor becomes a problem. The board voted to approve the CUP; the motion carried on a 4–1 vote.
The board recorded the conditional use approval and attached the conditions discussed. Staff said the applicant will demolish existing rundown structures and construct a new building on the site.
