Trustees asked about timeline and staff explained the design and evaluation must be completed promptly so the village can finalize construction budgets and coordinate installations.
The motion to waive bidding and award the design contract passed by roll call. Staff said they selected a firm with industry experience and that the fixed fee is $35,000; grant funding will cover part of the project costs and the village will budget its matching share.
