Staff reports and project updates: - CAB rescheduled: Staff said CAB (community advisory/volunteer event) has been rescheduled to June 13 and volunteers are being recruited. - Community gardens: A small volunteer project led by Bob Carlson will replace rotted 6x6 posts and repair the top‑soil corral; staff asked for volunteers this weekend. - Creekide Bridge encampment: Staff described an increase in homeless encampment activity at Creekide Bridge, including graffiti and thefts affecting nearby properties. The city has scheduled a cleanup and said the police department will step up daily walkthroughs to discourage congregating in that area. - Arbor Day: Arbor Day will be celebrated April 30 at John Morgan Park with approximately six trees planned to replace a removed walnut tree; students are expected to help plant. - Kiosk repairs: Eagle Scout volunteers will repair and reseal a damaged kiosk near the pet bridge in Campbell Park, targeting completion by the end of May. - Turf damage: Staff reported a mower hydraulic line burst at John De Morgan Park that leaked hot hydraulic fluid and damaged turf; crews plan to reseed and repair the strip. - Skate park and parade logistics: The skate park is officially open; a ribbon cutting is scheduled April 10 at 10 a.m., and a reopening event is set for April 18 from 10 a.m. to noon.
