Commissioners discussed the original rationale for the 2022 change, described as a temporary guardrail while the comprehensive plan was completed, and generally agreed the added time has become unnecessary. After brief discussion, a motion to forward a positive recommendation on PZ‑26‑11 to council passed on a 7–0 roll‑call vote.
