CCW datasets (MBSF, HICN and MBI crosswalks) made directly accessible in the CDR
Summary
CCSQ announced direct access in the CDR Databricks environment to MBSF (2017–2025), HICN crosswalk, and MBI crosswalk datasets; access requires that an organization’s DUA include the approved EPI codes.

Alex Clark, product owner on the CCSQ data and analytics team, announced that several CCW datasets are now available directly within the CDR Databricks environment. The datasets called out were:
• The updated MBSF (Master Beneficiary Summary File) containing beneficiary demographics and enrollment details covering Medicare Parts A–D for 2017 through 2025. • A HICN crosswalk linking legacy Medicare IDs to state identifiers to support Medicare/Medicaid matching. • An MBI crosswalk linking current Medicare beneficiary identifiers to other ID systems for longitudinal tracking.
Alex emphasized that access is controlled by a Data Use Agreement (DUA) and that requesters must ensure their organization’s DUA includes the required approved EPI codes; once a DUA with the appropriate codes is uploaded to the CCSQ portal, access to the CCW schemas is granted automatically. He directed users to look under the CCW CDR catalog and the Delta Shares Received header to find these schemas. Alex also reminded the group that schemas meeting deprecation criteria are removed from the Databricks production catalog and that announcements and migration guidance are posted to the CCSQ portal News & Events.
