Board to finalise lodging-tax advisory committee recommendations for 2026 awards

Thurston County staff presented the final recommendations of the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) on March 24 and asked the board to approve the awards at the upcoming business meeting. The county reported the LTAC met in January and February to prepare the recommendations and that a Feb. 18 work session already reviewed them; staff told commissioners nothing had changed.
Commissioners thanked staff (Ellen) for shepherding the process. The agenda-setting transcript records the presentation and no substantive questions from the board; the item was prepared to move forward to the March 31 business meeting for final approval.
