Sheriff Al Red asked the board to approve Amendment No. 1 with Summit Food Services to install a kiosk or micro‑market in the jail break room so county employees can purchase food without leaving during their lunch hour. "What we're wanting to do is like a little micro market," the sheriff said; the board approved the amendment, with members noting the arrangement is expected to be at no cost to the county.
The board also approved a 60‑day extension of paid administrative leave for a Graham County deputy while an investigation continues; supervisors discussed that pay would cease if the employee is not retained following the investigation.
