Morgan County hires vendor hours and opens RFP after website provider exits

The Morgan County Commissioners on March 16 approved two technology steps: a short scope-of-work to secure vendor project-management support and an RFP to replace the county’s website provider.
Kyle, the county’s account administrator, told commissioners the board is approving a statement of work under the existing master services agreement with Gadellnet that allocates 10 hours per month of project-management services to help the county coordinate technology requirements for new and renovated facilities, including the historic courthouse. “This statement of work ... allocates 10 hours per month for project management,” Kyle said. Commissioners approved the scope of work unanimously.
Kyle also notified the board that the county’s current website provider, Core Business Technologies, “notified us that they are going out of business on December 31st, 2026.” Staff drafted an RFP for a commercial off-the-shelf government website platform, hosting and implementation; the board approved posting the RFP in the newspaper and on the county website beginning March 19 so vendors can bid to replace the exiting vendor.
County staff said the RFP timeline is intended to keep services continuous when Core Business Technologies discontinues support at the end of 2026. Implementation specifics, hosting terms and transition timelines will be negotiated with the successful vendor.
