Tumwater Tree Board approves minutes and delays officer elections; motion to read The Lorax fails

Earlier in the meeting a member proposed that Tonya read Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax to children at the Arbor Day event; that proposal was made as a motion but received no second and therefore failed.
The meeting adjourned after a voice vote. Staff recorded that next meeting is scheduled for May 11, 2026, when the mayor plans to attend.
