Regional water official tells Temple City council district has ample stored supply

Treviño explained the volume by defining an acre‑foot as 325,000 gallons and said the district is "aggressively pursuing" groundwater solutions. He noted that negotiations over Colorado River allocations remain unsettled and may affect statewide supplies, but said the district expects supply issues to be resolvable within about a year and expressed confidence in local storage.
Council members thanked Treviño and reminded residents that conservation remains important, and they discussed potential future rate increases through Metropolitan Water District as water becomes more costly.
