Temple City says recent street resurfacing finished; council warns funding shortfall will limit future work

"Paving is expensive. Our funding is extremely limited and will be challenged in future years," Cook said, thanking contractor Onyx Paving and staff for the work and noting the city will continue what it can with available funds.

Council Member Yu said maintaining pavement is "part and parcel of our quality of life" and called for the council to plan for future financing options. The council did not take formal budget action at the meeting; members framed the issue as a forward‑looking funding challenge and suggested it remain a priority in upcoming budget discussions.
