The Select Board recorded several procedural and personnel votes during its Oct. 8 session.
Minutes and omnibus approvals The board approved the Oct. 1 minutes as amended and voted to approve omnibus items 3B–3H together. Chair Bernard Green read the roll and members indicated their votes aloud.
Police appointments The board approved appointing two student officers as probationary Brookline Police Department officers after a brief presentation by the chief. Officer Caitlyn Perry (scheduled to graduate Thursday) and Officer Sean Reed (also graduating) will enter in‑house training and a 12‑month probationary period.
Other appointments The board voted to confirm appointments to several boards and commissions, including an appointment to the Commission on Disability, the Commission for the Arts and the Preservation Commission. A small number of appointments were postponed to a later meeting.
